Questions About Hosting Your Wedding at Savoy Opera House?
We want you to feel confident and excited from the very beginning.
Savoy Opera House is not a typical hotel ballroom or all-white event space. It is a one-of-a-kind Tucson venue filled with colorful, historic Western charm and built-in character. The space already feels special, so you can focus on adding the details that make the celebration feel like you rather than spending your budget trying to transform a blank room.
We can host weddings ranging from an intimate celebration of 50 guests to a larger event with up to 350 guests. The space is highly versatile, with both indoor and outdoor options available. Couples may hold their ceremony inside the Opera House or outdoors at the gazebo, then use the spaces in a way that best fits their guest count and wedding vision.
Yes. Couples can use both the indoor Opera House and the outdoor gazebo area. Your ceremony may take place inside the Opera House or outdoors at the gazebo, with the reception held inside. The spaces can also be combined to create a natural flow for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, and other parts of your celebration.
Couples may bring many of their own creative vendors and entertainment, including a DJ, florist, cake provider, photographer, and special event elements such as dessert carts, ice cream carts, photo booths, or other personal touches. Some services, including catering and bar service, are provided through the venue. Our team can explain the vendor guidelines and help you understand what can be incorporated into your celebration.
Yes, we provide a list of trusted vendors we love working with. That said, you’re welcome to choose your own, from photographers and florists to unique specialty vendors.

Food and bar services are provided exclusively by Savoy. You are welcome to bring in cake or other specialty vendors for the unique experience you and your guests will enjoy. For example think popcorn machines, ice-cream carts and snowcones. The ideas are vast and we will work with you to make sure your event is not only special but unique to you!
We understand guest lists can change. We’ll start with a general estimate to guide planning, and your final headcount won’t be needed until two weeks before your event, so you have time to confirm everything.
We offer a full-service bar with professional bartenders. Outside alcohol (BYOB) is not permitted, but we may be able to accommodate that favorite spirit or drink you love.
Absolutely. Savoy features Tucson’s largest permanent dance floor and a full stage for DJs, bands, and performances.
Savoy Opera House does not have dedicated getting-ready suites or hotel accommodations onsite. Couples typically make arrangements at a nearby hotel or another location before arriving at the venue. Our team can help you plan an arrival schedule that makes the transition into your ceremony smooth and stress-free.
Vendor access is coordinated around your event timeline to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Access to the space typically begins at 10:00 AM on the day of your event for decorating and vendor setup
- Tables, chairs, and linens are set by that time
- Tableware is added approximately 3 hours before your event begins
If your event has unique needs or requires a different setup schedule, we’re happy to work with you to create the right plan.
There are a few guidelines in place to help protect the space and keep everyone safe:
- Confetti, glitter, and cold sparklers are not permitted
- For safety, please do not stand on chairs or furniture—ladders should be used when needed
- We ask that all vendors and guests treat the space with care and respect
Our team will provide all necessary details and guidelines ahead of your event, so you know exactly what to expect.
The first step is to contact Savoy Opera House to check availability and schedule a tour. Once you see the space and explore the possibilities, our team can help you begin building a wedding that feels personal, joyful, and completely your own.
